Bablinga tells of alienation, distance, memory and the ubiquity of regret: Moktar, a former bar owner, slides into reminiscence during a phantasmagorical farewell night at his own bar. Colour, light and sound accompany him throughout his contemplative night with guests who invited themselves into his space, triggering a face-off with his inner demons. The bar owner reflects on his immigration to France and its implication over social belonging, in a world that opens up old wounds of the loss of friendship, love and the fear of taking yet another life-changing decision.
