London born Filmmaker Max'ed Deeq has made a number of short films, through which he has explored different ways of storytelling, honing his voice and developing his point of view. The Meaning of Daisey was born from a love of romantic comedies, trying to explore universal stories about love and human connection. These kinds of films signal; sometimes unintentionally, something to audiences about the kinds of love we should aspire for and the kinds of people that are deserving of it. This has reinforced his desire to tell universal stories through the lens of people who are rarely afforded that luxury.
