Njuguna moved into the area 11 years ago and is therefore still considered an outsider. After all this time he still does not understand why his town is stagnate when other towns are thriving. Time for him to ask around! Many elders tell him what happened, but how to make sense of it all?
This film was created as part of the Scottish Documentary Institute's Kenyan Stories programme, in partnership with Docubox and British Council.
About the Director
Njuguna Ng’ang’a is an independent filmmaker and a native of Kenya. His work is always looking into Africa’s untold stories and his latest project as a producer is the short film Fast Lane. His previous short films have won awards including My Kenya My Story Mobile Phone Film Competition and Kisima Best Africa Short Film. He is based In Nyeri Town.
